DAY 1 | ARRIVE IN LA PAZ
Arrival and transfer to your hotel in La Paz, ranked as one of the cities with the highest altitude in the world. Reminder of the day at leisure. Dinner and Overnight stay at Hotel Europa. (D)
DAY 2 | LA PAZ
After a hearty breakfast, depart for a city tour of La Paz and Moon Valley. The city of La Paz and its surroundings can transport you to a mysterious past where everything is a hidden treasure. A living history with treasures of the pre-Hispanic times with all their traditions and magic can be located on almost any street. The indigenous, colonial and modern areas, the Indian Market, the Witch Doctor’s Market as well as breath taking panoramic views are all framed by the majestic “Illimani” mountain. Visit the Moon Valley, a clay formation resembling the face of the Moon. The afternoon is at leisure to visit the nearby shops. Return and overnight stay at the Hotel Europa. (B, L)
DAY 3 | LA PAZ | TIWANAKU | HUATAJATA (LAKE TITICACA)
Depart La Paz and transfer to Tiwanaku. Visit the magniﬁcent Tiwanaku ruins known as one of the oldest civilizations in the Americas. The Sun Gate, Temple of Kalasasaya and the Pyramid of Akapana are the sample of a glorious past. Tiwanaku culture was an agrarian based economy with an estimated population of 115,000 inhabitants. After visiting and learning about the wondrous Tiwanaku people, relax with a box lunch. This afternoon, continue to Huatajata. Experience the Andean Roots Eco Village. The Altiplano Museum, where a state of the art audio system will explain the cultural heritage of the Aymaras and the Incas, the colonial time and Jacques Cousteau Expedition to Lake Titicaca. Spend some time at the Kallawaya Natural Spa where thousand year old methods are used to treat stress, well-being, and cosmetology enhancements. Tonight visit the “Mystic World of the Kallawayas”, natural healers of Bolivia authorized by law to practice natural medicine. Overnight stay at the Inca Utama Hotel & Spa. (B, Box Lunch, D)
DAY 4 | HUATAJATA (LAKE TITICACA) | URUS IRUITOS FLOATING ISLANDS | HUATAJATA
Morning sail on a hydrofoil cruise on Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world. Arrive to the Island of Pariti, “The New Archeological Discovery” on Lake Titicaca. Visit the Urus-Iruito Floating Islands and Sustainable Tourism Project on Queqaya Island. You will have a traditional atapi lunch (a picnic with local dishes). Afterwards, depart Urus Iruitos Floating Islands to Huatajata. Afternoon is at leisure. Tonight visit the native observatory Alajpacha for a once in a lifetime encounter with the Southern Hemisphere constellations. Overnight at the Inca Utama Hotel & Spa. (B, Native Picnic )
DAY 5| HUATAJATA | PUNO (PERU)
Depart via motor coach to Cocotoni. Upon arrival transfer via hydrofoil to Sun Island, legendary biosphere of the Incas. Visit the Inca Staircase and Sacred Fountain, believed to give you eternal youth. Lunch at Uma Kollu, an archeological restaurant. Then a hydrofoil cruise across the lake to Moon Island; visit the Sun Virgin’s Temple Iñak Uyu. Continue to Copacabana and visit a local church. Then on to Puno for an overnight stay at the Hotel Libertador Esteves. (B, L)
