Blog

A few years ago we took on the challenge of reinventing one of the world's leading tour companies. No easy task. Our goal was to build upon the foundation of nearly 50 years of industry leadership and craft a modern company offering an array of dynamic travel experiences.

To the credit of the team here at The Isramworld Portfolio of Brands, we're succeeding. Shifting our focus from mostly one destination to the global market we've opened offices in London and Costa Rica, expanded our office in Hungary and are soon to open our first office in South America in Peru.

We've moved away from bus tours to a philosophy that will better serve your well-traveled clients: "Experiences Not Souvenirs." We've launched new products around the globe. We've deconstructed and rebuilt what it means to visit Israel - with Belder-Gray Voluntourism Experiences. And we've crafted small luxury group tours to dozens of destinations, with never more than 16 travelers on any departure.

In the coming months there'll be more advances at The Isramworld Portfolio of Brands. Each step we undertake, each improvement, is done with one goal in mind: to continue to be one of America's most creative and dynamic travel providers. After all, Benjamin Franklin said it best "If you're finished changing, you're finished."

Thank you for your continued support and friendship. My team and I look forward to seeing many of you at upcoming events, including IMEX America, Latin America Travel Mart, WTM London and ILTM Cannes.

Antarctica Cruise

An Antarctica cruise is a great way to explore the southern part of the globe. It is also a new adventure, as only a few have been able to visit the continent as tourists. Isn’t enchanting to explore this icy end of the earth?

People who visit Antarctica usually go a cruise as there are limited places in which they can stay in land, compared to that in other countries. A cruise is also more convenient as it offers all the amenities for you to stay comfortable during your travel.

But how do you prepare for an Antarctica cruise? Below are a few things to pack when going on this kind of adventure:

  • Thermal wear
Jackets, sweaters, and heavy duty thermal outfits are a must when going on an Antarctica adventure. This is mainly because it is super cold in the continent and it takes time for any human being to adjust to its extremely low temperatures.
You may want to stay all geared up when going outdoors, as there are times when the ship docks and you can explore Antarctica’s icy shores. However, inside the cruise ship, you can dress up with any outfit you wish.
  • A camera
A camera is always important in any kind of travel, and it is an ultimate must have when you’re going to Antarctica. This is because while there is not much to see in the country in terms of landmarks, there are a lot of instances when you can watch birds, penguins, seals, and even whales. These are extraordinary sights and you’d be very lucky to be able to take pictures of them.
  • Medication
If you have the tendency to feel sick when traveling, then you should definitely bring along your medication. Meds are not always available on a cruise ship, and supplies are way harder to find when in Antarctica.

Argentina

Argentina can be a beautiful, diverse and awe inspiring travel destination. Here are just a few highlights to enjoy on your travels:

  • Mar del Plata
Buenos Aires is a city of jaw-dropping beauty. In lots of ways, you will feel as though you have magically been transported to Vienna. The European impression is overwhelming. The city is elegance itself. If you are a meat eater, make sure you experience four of the steak houses. You won’t be disappointed.

The Mar de Plata is a must-see beach area. You can also hit the Mar de Plata Aquarium, play golf on five different courses. The area is also rife with discos. Try the ones on the “Noisy Avenue”, but don’t mention my name. There were.problems last time I was there.

  • Tierra del Fuego
If you like waterfalls, this is the place for you. The Iquazu Falls are seven times as wide and taller than Niagara Falls. The Falls actually consist of over 250 cascades that came into existence due to a volcanic eruption. If you can, try to visit the falls in the spring or fall as it’s ungodly hot and humid in the summer.
  • Ushuaia, the capital of Tierra del Fuego, is the southernmost city in the world. From the city, you can take the “end of the world” train to see incredible snow covered mountain ranges in the Tierra del Fuego National Park.
