LUXURY JOURNEY

DAY 1 | USA | BUENOS AIRES
Depart the USA aboard your overnight flight to Buenos Aires, Argentina.

DAY 2 | BUENOS AIRES
Morning arrival in Buenos Aires, considered the most cosmopolitan city in south America; meeting and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 3 | BUENOS AIRES
Built in the 19th century, this city rivals the architecture and sophistication of Paris. Today’s tour begins at the Plaza de Mayo, continuing to casa rosada, the President’s residence and Avenida 9 de Julio, the world’s widest boulevard; visit the Tomb of evita Perón at Recoleta cemetery. Stop to enjoy the delicious pastry and coffee at the historic Café Tortoni, considered the finest example of 19th century architecture in Buenos Aires. On to the Italian Boca District, the cathedral and the Tomb of General José de san Martin. View the magnificent Teatro colon opera house; its design was inspired by the exquisite opera Garnier in Paris. Tonight, Dinner and Tango show. (B, D)

DAY 4 | BUENOS AIRES
After breakfast, your day is at leisure to discover this wonderful city on your own. Visit the san Telmo Antique Market (Sundays only). Or, take a full-day optional tour to an Argentine ranch (“estancia”); enjoy a Gaucho-style Barbecue Lunch featuring traditional folklore and dance. (B)

DAY 5| BUENOS AIRES | IGUASSU FALLS
Late morning flight to Iguassu Falls, one of the world’s greatest natural wonders; transfer to the hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure. (B)

DAY 6| IGUASSU FALLS
Morning tour of the Argentine side of the falls, including a visit to famous Devil’s Throat, the most magnificent of the cataracts – view and photograph the thundering waters falling below. Stop at the National Park, before transferring to the airport for your flight to Buenos Aires; meeting and transfer to your hotel. (B )

DAY 7| IGUASSU FALLS | RIO DE JANEIRO
After breakfast, visit the Brazilian side of the falls for a fabulous scenic walk. Afterwards, flight to Rio de Janeiro, the pulsating “sun, fun and samba” capital of South America; transfer to your hotel. (B)

DAY 8| RIO DE JANEIRO
Morning drive through Copacabana, one of the world’s most famous beaches. A cable car takes you to the top of sugar Loaf Mountain for a panoramic view of the beaches and Guanabara Bay. Tonight, a feast for the senses – experience some of Rio’s highlife on a “Rio by Night” tour, including dinner at a traditional Churrascaria (barbecue) restaurant, followed by an exciting Brazilian samba show. DAY 9| RIO DE JANEIRO
Morning drive through this bustling city takes you to the base of Corcovado Mountain; a short and scenic train ride through the forest takes you to the summit. Here, 2,300 feet above the city, stands one of south America’s most famous and inspiring landmarks; Following a scenic drive along the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon, we will arrive at the foot of the hill, where we embark on a small train which climbs the beautiful mountainside. Upon reaching the top, visitors will experience a panoramic view of Rio de Janeiro and discover why it is known as the “Marvelous city”! Afternoon optional visit to h. stern to tour the world of exotic gemstones and witness the fascinating process of jewel creation. (B)

DAY 10| RIO DE JANEIRO | USA
Day at leisure for last minute shopping or sunning on one of Rio’s famous beaches. Evening transfer to the airport for your overnight return flight to the USA. (B)
